Black History Month Competition by Westside’s Black Student Union
The Black Student Union, or BSU, is having an arts and writing competition in honor of Black History Month. The art categories for the competition include, portraits, sculptures, canvases, collages, and many more while the writing categories include flash fiction, poetry, and a personal essay or memoir.
Students at Westside High School who are willing to self-produce or have your own items that correspond to one of these arts and writing categories, are eligible to participate in this competition. There will be two selected winners for each category with a prize of choosing either a Chick-Fil-A, Starbucks, and Barnes&Nobles gift card.
