Westside’s varsity boy’s swimming team has splashed into deep water. Last week, on October 15th, they met and competed against Cypress Ranch High School in our natatorium from 6 PM to 8:30 PM. The winning team has not been determined yet. Next week, on October 24th, they will head to Spring Woods High School to go against their team from 6 PM to 8:30 PM. One of our varsity boys’ team member, Kelan Johnson states, “I feel confident as I’m improving. We have a great team and are looing forward to getting the next win.” At every meeting, each team competes in the 50 yard freestyle, 100 yard freestyle, 200 meter medley relay and 400 meter free relay. In order to substain stamina, become faster in the water and condition themselves, the swimming team has practice every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:15 to 7:45 in the natatorium. Show your Westside spirit and come to Spring Woods High School to support your varsity boy’s swimming team!
