Golden Globes: Sandra Oh

The 2019 Golden Globe Awards certainly was a Globes that didn’t fail to make history again. Sandra Oh a Canadian actress commonly known for her role as Cristina Yang in Grey’s Anatomy, but not what she was shinning for on the night of the awards. She won her fifth Golden Globe Award on January 6th, 2019, for her role in the BBC America “Killing Eve”, an American-British drama series aired on April 8, 2018.
Sandra Oh was the first person of Asian descent to not only win multiple Golden Globe Awards but also the first person of Asian descent to host the Golden Globes. During her acceptance speech, she gave a heartwarming thank you to her parents in Korean that took over entertainment headlines.
