The Westside wrestling team is a 19-time district champion in HISD. The road to State championships was far from easy and allowed for our wolves to push themselves to be the best that they possibly could be. UIL State wrestling championship took place this past weekend at the Berry Center in Katy, Texas.

Two of the wrestlers, Daelon Clark and Christian Lopez qualified for the UIL State Wrestling Championship this past weekend. Our Wolves have pushed themselves to their limits to make it this far. This prestigious competition allowed for our Wolves to show how their hard work had paid off throughout their season. Daelon Clark, Preformed very well and ended up finishing in the top 8 in the state! Christian Lopez, made it to finals this year and made the Wolf pack proud by bringing home a 2nd place finish in the State of Texas!

Westside is very proud of our wrestling wolves and could not be happier on the way the wolves closed off the season. Great job to both Christian, Daelon, and the entire Wrestling team!
