The future of Houston Independent School District and the trajectory of the district according to the five year plan will be presented at a community Town Hall event.  The last community town hall will occur on October 18th at Westside High School and will be hosted in the large auditorium from 6 to 7:30pm. HISD Board of Education will give greater insight on the growth of their schools through the constructed plan.

As the largest school district in Texas, HISD is a leader of change and progress and the strategic five-year plan is an example of that. It is specifically a framework dedicated to providing all HISD students with high-quality education and school experience. Additionally, an open-forum will be held for community members, parents and faculty alike to discuss and voice their thoughts and opinions. The town hall meeting is an overview of the continuation of the district’s success and an open-event for all to learn what Houston Independent School District is about.
