Candace Obi

Exuberant, quirky, and dazzling! Candace Obi is a senior at Westside High School. Born and raised in Houston Tx, Candace is 17 years old and this is her first year on the Howler News.  She joined newspaper to develop writing skills and to enhance student voices.  She co-founded the African Student Association and the K-Pop Club, among other student organizations. She also participates in the Futures program at Westside, and plans to earn an associate's degree in the arts. Future plans include college study in journalism and joining a collegiate sorority or majorette team.

Candace adores kpop, brazilian funk, hyperpop, rap.  She is a vocal supporter of Nicki Minaj and Loona
