How COVID-19 Is Affecting Sophomores At Westside?
April 9, 2020
Currently going on in the world, COVID-19 has affected everyone all around the world. All of us are taking precautions and therefore under quarantine. For schools across the country, they are all experiencing online school currently for students and teachers at their homes. Our district HISD and their schools, including Westside initiated online school as well.
This pandemic is affecting all grade levels, but how is it affecting sophomores at Westside exactly? Sophomores this year in the 2019-2020 school year, were preparing all year for their STAAR english IIĀ exam, until Texas governor Greg Abbot waived all STAAR and EOC exams for all, leaving the sophomores curious on how the STAAR would’ve looked like, now they have missed their fourth and only opportunity to take the STAAR English EOC .
Also for AP World History exams for sophomores will be different this year with it being online and with no multiple choice questions and it being S.A.R questions. With this pandemic happening, at this point sophomores now are ready to bear for more things to come, hopefully moves on easy at best.
