With the wrap up of the month of January, we start to move away from the winter and move towards spring and during the spring, students and faculty look forward to one thing unanimously, Spring Break. It’s a full week of just relaxation or a full week of excitement and a taste of the summer to come.

Spring Break can consist of a lot of things, such as going to the beach or hanging out with your friends all day. But because we live in Houston, we don’t have as many teen friendly activities as a more local town. So I’ve put together a list of activities that won’t break the bank or have you drive a far distance:

  • Houston CityPASS – The Houston CityPASS is a great deal, you get access to places like The Space Center Houston, The Houston Zoo, and many more. All for $64.00.
  • Memorial Park – Memorial Park is a personal favorite of many Houstonians including myself, it’s a giant urban center adding up to 1,500 acres of land (twice the size of Central Park!) that includes a swimming pool, 30 miles of trails, and it’s completely free!

These are just a couple of the choices you can make this Spring Break if you’re looking for any local activities. If you’re not very enthusiastic about these choices you can maybe ask your friends what they’re going to do for Spring Break. Many students are already making major plans!
