Black History 3 It is always a special event when Westside gets involved in House Decorating activities.  Walking through the entrance is like being taken to an art gallery.  Its always exciting to see what the students and teachers bring to our attention.black history 2For February each house selected a theme to represent significant events in the telling of Black History and cultural events.  The themes were:

  • Underground Railroad – East 1
  • Harlem Renaissance – North 2
  • Civil Rights – South 2
  • Segregation/Integration – East 2
  • African American Legacies – North 1

Thank you to all the students who contributed.  The exhibitions are inspiring and informative. black history 1
