Anthony Umana is a junior at Westside High School. This is his first year on the Howler News staff. Driven and passionate, in the future he aspires to be a self employed entrepreneur in a business of his choice. Anthony is also interested in photography and social media coordinating. He has been a part of the business pathway since his freshman year and is on track to graduate with an associate's degree. 

In his free time, Anthony enjoys hanging out with friends, playing basketball, and weight lifting. He is interested in cars, and enjoys attending car meets. For his first car he desires a Toyota Camry XSE. His favorite color is red, favorite TV series is “How to get away with murder”, and at home he has a chihuahua named Gem. Chipotle is his go to dining spot! Additionally, he enjoys hip hop and Spanish music, with Lucki being his favorite artist. Family and those around him are the most important things to Anthony. His mom, being a single mother, inspires him to work hard and never settle for less. “Failure is temporary, but giving up is forever.” For his first year on the Howler News he would like to write about the details of the school system, and how learning is more than just receiving a good grade.
