Competition Season Begins for Westside Dance
Pride Dance Team hosted the West Coast Elite Dance Competition here in our Performance Gym, Saturday, January 29th.
The Pride Dance Team of Westside High School hosted the West Coast Elite Dance Competition, here in our Performance Gym, on Saturday, January 29th. There where 150+ competitors from area dance studios, as well as the Honey Bears Dance Team from West Briar Middle School. After a full day of exciting dance performances, the judges presented their awards.
Our Westside Pride Officers made history by winning first in every routine and winning overall top officer line in the competition! The girls where excited for their big win. ” It was amazing to reach our goal because all the long and emotional practices paid off.” said Officer Vivi Lanman. She was thrilled to share this experience with fellow leaders Alexis Hooper, Destinee Clark, Baylee Nelson and Captain Christina Campbell ( seen in feature photo, with their team director Mrs. Brooke DeMartino ).

A special shout out goes to Kiara Guyton, who won 5th place, out of 15 soloist, in the Grade 10 category. Kiara is a second year member and LT officer of Inertia Dance Company.
