Paulina Parra, Writer/Photographer

Paulina Parra is a senior at Westside High School. This is her first and final year as a part of the Howler News staff. Her newfound passion for writing and photography sparked an interest in becoming a staff member. The only thing that she puts over her love for writing and photography is her interest for health and social science. In fact, she is planning to pursue a major in psychology in college. After college she wants to pursue a career in the Medical field.

Paulina is a free spirited 17 year old who has, unfortunately for her, spent her whole life living in Houston. Because of this, she dreams of traveling all across Europe one day to gain new experiences. She comes from Mexican roots with both of her parents being from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon in the great country of Mexico. She is very in touch with her roots. She is the middle child with a younger brother and an older sister. She holds her family, friends, and 3 dogs very close to her heart.  In her free time, she likes to get involved in anything that has to do with art & crafts while listening to her favorite musicians, Mitski and Fiona Apple. She also loves to watch films in her spare time, and log them onto Letterboxd. Aside from that, she enjoys playing video games such as Fortnite and Minecraft with her friends or just going out with them whenever they have the chance to do so.
