Makayla Evans is a senior at Westside, and this is her first year participating in the Howler News. She is excited to be reporting on her school's athletes and teams. Makayla and her twin sister, Kaitlyn, have been on the varsity basketball team since their freshman year. Not only does Makayla execute on the court, but she also dominates off the court. She enjoys working out, and volunteering. She is a member of NHS and an officer for Christians on Campus. Makayla is in the business pathway but is open to the medical field or education system. Plans for college, bring tough choices. She is looking at Rice University, Oral Roberts University, and Howard University.

Makayla's favorite color is pink, and she enjoys watching movies and reading, and she like Mod Pizza. Makayla's values in life are Jesus and her family. Makayla get inspiration from her mother's work ethic. She enjoys gospel music, especially Cece Winans.

Makayla's goal this year is is to enourage others through reporting and personal stories.
