Robiu Lawal is a junior student at Westside participating in the Health Magnet Program. Robiu hopes to attend the University of Houston and pursue a career in either nursing or pharmacy. Born in Nigeria, Lawal moved to Houston 5 years ago and frequently enjoys the bustling social scenes H-Town has to offer like, “The Galleria” and “Downtown Houston.” For the 2022-23 school year, Lawal joined the newspaper team specifically to grow and develop a new talent, proving his qualities as a well-versed student.

Not to mention his interests in action games and vintage shoes, Robiu is a fan of all things bold! And classic as well! In fact, he commonly enjoys popular sit-coms like “The Office” and animated classic shows like “Family Guy” & “Rick And Morty.” Robiu has been a part of the African Student Association since freshman year and currently takes AP World History. By the time he graduates, Robiu hopes to accomplish a 4.0 GPA and look to his future with a passion for learning.
