The Rubik’s cube is an iconic piece of pop culture, flooding the homes of millions of people and families all around the world. This three-dimensional challenging game for the mind is known and easily recognized by the majority of the human population. Invented by and named after Erno Rubik, a Hungarian architect, in 1974, the Rubik’s cube was initially developed in order to aid in explaining three-dimensional geometry. However, it soon became a worldwide game played by those of all walks of life for entertainment purposes.

This past week, I completed my first Rubik’s cube! I had always wanted to solve one, but I had never tried to since I felt like I wouldn’t have the ability to do it. However, I finally found the time to attempt to solve this complex challenge, and with lots of searching, strategies from others, and quite a bit of time, each colored square was finally placed into the correct spot. Rubik’s cubes are so much fun, yet they also get you to have to think and analyze logarithms. This may sound a little difficult, but once you get the hang of it, it gets much easier. It truly is so much fun, and I strongly recommend you attempt to solve one. Maybe you’ll surprise yourself like I did!
