Do I qualify for FAFSA? What is FAFSA? These are the questions that parents and seniors ask themselves when applying for college. FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Its purpose is exactly what it stands for. It seeks to help students who are in need of economic support for them to continue their education after high school. The best part of this application is that you will never have to pay back the money that you receive.

FAFSA helps students attending college by giving them financial support when buying things for the new school year. College can get expensive but FAFSA helps cover the wages of classes, textbooks, materials, etc. A student who does not enroll for FAFSA can pay over double for their college costs and needs which is important because a student who does enroll and receive financial aid can pay way less and save money for other important things happening in the students’ life. The importance of FAFSA is that you never have to pay this money back and doesn’t put you in debt which can happen in your college years.

Lastly, there is a set time range for FAFSA! If you do not make the deadline for financial aid you will not be ensured money and you will have to pay for college out of your own pocket. The earlier you apply the better chance of getting a greater amount of money. So do not wait any minute longer to apply. Remember now that the deadline for FAFSA is June 30!
